Description
The Condor MDR2 pressure switch can be used for single phase compressors or as a pressure switch to provide a signal to the control circuit in a larger compressor.
The MDR2 has built in adjustable differential capability to have greater control over the cut out pressure of the switch. For example if the cut in pressure is pre set to 4 bar then the cut out pressure can be adjusted to be set to between 5.4 bar & 7.4 bar. Please see data sheet for more information.
On the underside of the MDR2 switch there is a connection port suitable to install an unloader valve.
The function of the unloader valve is to remove the pressure from the piston of a compressor so that when it re-starts it can move freely and prevent the motor from stalling.
The delayed unloader valve, on the other hand, additionally assists the motor when starting in that it remains open until a certain pressure (approx. 2 bars) is reached, thus giving the motor additional time to reach its full speed and torque.
When ordering MDR2 pressure switch, unloader valve and two cable glands must be ordered separately.
